Arts and Cultural Center

Lita Isaac, Community Culture Instructor

Drop in at the Arts & Cultural Center and you will have an opportunity to make Mi’gmaq cultural crafts, beadwork, moccasins and many other items.  We offer community courses from September to June. In the summer months, the Center is used as the Listuguj Powwow headquarters.  As well, at Arts & Cultural Center you can view our collection of baskets, quillwork, regalia, canoes, and many other cultural items.

For a small fee, here are a few of the items that you can learn how to make:  moccasins and mitts, beaded dream catchers, leather dream catchers, mandalas, lanyards, bone chokers, bone bracelets, and beaded earrings.

The Arts & Cultural Center is open at the following times:

Monday – Friday (8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
Thursday evenings (6:30 - 8:30 p.m.)

For contact information, click here to consult the LMG Directory.  We are listed as the Arts and Cultural Center (Powwow Headquarters).

We hope that you will join us!
