Foster Care

The word ‘foster’ means to help someone (or something) grow and develop.  It also means to take care of someone’s needs.  Foster parents take on the role to provide a safe place for children to receive care.  They temporarily open their hearts and homes to children in need.

Foster care provides quality care to children and also allows time for their parents to prepare for the child’s return. As a foster parent, you are part of a “team” working together for the sake of the family.

Adult Care

At Child and Family Services, we also assist individuals requiring adult home care.  We coordinate and oversee a range of services.  For instance, can coordinate home or institutional visits, bring individuals to community events, and run errands.  As well, should an adult family member need 24 hour care, we can provide a referral to the appropriate agency.

If you would like to become a foster parent please contact our office.
