Listuguj Community Development Center
The Listuguj Community Development Center (the “Bingo Hall”) is owned and operated by the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government. The Community Center, which has a maximum occupancy capacity of 450 people, is used for bingo, community events, or private rentals.
The Listuguj Bingo was established in 1996 under LMG management and ownership. The Bingo represents a successful economic venture, providing both entertainment to clients and meaningful employment to community members.
Bingo is played four times per week throughout the year. Days of play include:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
All games are played from 7:00-10:00 p.m. (New Brunswick time)
Proceeds from games on Monday, Wednesday and Friday go to the LMG, while proceeds generated each Thursday benefit CHRQ. Special bingos are also offered for holidays. Services at the Bingo Hall include: automated bingo machines, cantine, and kitchen
The Listuguj Community Development Center is available for rent at rates of $125 for half the facility and $250 for the entire space. Gatherings there include weddings, parties and anniversaries.
The hall is also used for community meetings and special event gatherings such as Christmas Mommies Fundraiser Events (as well as other fundraisers), firefighter competitions, Mother’s Day Socials, and as a polling station for provincial and federal elections, just to name a few.
